Before The Fall

In 2024, Moth Sanctuary Productions commemorated the 175th anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe’s death with their production of Before the Fall — a prequel to Edgar Allan Poe’s seminal short story, The Fall of the House of Usher. Serving as an original prequel to his enduring horror story where the Usher siblings confront the ghosts of their past and the looming spectre of their future on the eve of their father’s death, Before the Fall brought Moth Sanctuary’s signature gothic imagery and character-driven storytelling to Cheltenham Literature Festival’s main programme.
