Moth Sanctuary Productions created & performed ‘Frankenstein: New Skin’ – a gender-swapped version of Mary Shelley’s classic, told through spoken word, music & dance – for Cheltenham Literature Festival Lit Crawl 2018.
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Frankenstein’s publication, we gender-swapped the central roles to re-examine the themes of the original work & create new meaning when told from the point of view of a woman.
The production was written, scored & directed by Andrew Bate, starring a hugely talented cast.
Molly Rose Dumbell as The Creation

Catherine Frowd as Victoria Frankenstein

Nathan Marshall as Erik

Andrew Bate as The Companion
